It’s time for our 3rd Annual Creepy Critter 5K Your Way Fundraiser Race!
Ready to Race?!
The HOC’s Creepy Critter 5K Your Way is just that - a virtual race you can complete ANY WAY YOU WANT! All of the money we raise goes directly toward our healthy ocean education and advocacy events to offset costs and keep participation free of charge!
How do you participate? So glad you asked!
Step 1: register between now and the week leading into Halloween - and choose a way to complete your 5K. This year we have super fun categories:
Wanna run? You’re a Shark Sprinter 🦈 🏃🏾♀️
Wanna walk? You’re a Hermit Crab-Crawler 🐚 🦀 🚶
Wanna swim? You’re a Fin-atic 🏊🏿 🏊🏼♀️ 🏊🏼♂️
Wanna bike? You’re a Cycle-cloner 🌀 🚴
Don’t know yet? Not a problem! You’re a Choose-Your-Own Adventurer!
Step 2: Complete your 5K how ever you choose and then the week of Halloween, upload your time to the event site. Post pictures to Instagram (don’t worry, we will remind you!)
We’re excited to offer new and exciting prizes for participants.
The first 50 new participants will receive our awesome race medal.
The first 50 returning participants will receive our brand new race pin to add to your race stash.
Also, we’re excited to introduce our 2026 fundraising incentive - a race beanie!
If you donate at the Dumbo Octopus level ($75) or above we will send you one of these amazing beanies.
These are limited in number, so make sure you donate in time to rock this on race day!
